Growing Pumpkin Seeds Indoor - Am I doing it right? - indoor rock garden

I am very wet behind the ears when it comes to gardening.

I'm going to plant a garden this year and see in the package of pumpkin seeds should begin at home. Um, how do I do that? Should I stand in the bottom of the cup? Is the cup? What is the size of a glass? A seed / cup? If the soil is wet or the dry side?

I thought only set some dirt in a plastic cup, and then push a seed cup. Does that sound right?

I planted with my oldest son that I saw and 5YR disappoint him. I would like some advice. A million thanks.
