Bells Palsy And Arm What May Cause Numbness And Tingling On One Side Of Your Body?

What may cause numbness and tingling on one side of your body? - bells palsy and arm

All MRI brain and spinal cord are normal again. Bell's palsy and stroke were excluded. The numbness started in the face of a hand, including half of the tongue and nose. During the last 9 days lengthened neck, shoulder, arm and torso. The face is completely numb, but everything else was tingling.

maybe a pinched nerve in the neck. I can not believe that your doctor does not see that

At this point you should have a chiropractor. Chances are it is a nerve and he / she make adjustments for your body to where it belongs.

Only one page? What's next?

These areas are served by the cranial nerves, not by medullary compression in addition to areas which were currently affected by the spinal nerves. She did not say when it reported a complete loss of sensation (numbness total) or motor loss (loss of movement).

Since this is a one-sided, however, which apparently started by dermatome 7, the cranial nerves and has been associated with spinal nerves affected areas, the best estimates:
1.) cerebrovascular accident (stroke) - or a clot or bleeding, or compression of the mass. (It is an infection, the toxicity of heavy metals or other systemic problem)
Multiple Sclerosis-2.)

But I have not taken into account, are estimated on the basis of inadequate information!

Just because it etc. in MRI, CT, does not mean it's a hit! Not in a scanner is simply not of this type of analysis will be recorded!

But I am not a neurologist or neurosurgeon?

Do you see a neurologist right away!
(Please not on orn your family doctor for something like that!)

Any other symptoms associated with numbness and tingling? Which is usually a side view as opposite to the brain, if you are experienced in the left side, then arises the right brain.
MRI looks normal? Is it after the numbness spread to the neck, shoulder, arm and body? If so check back.
(sorry, if it is not clear, I am still a student: P)

I think, MS (multiple sclerosis) can cause numbness on one side of the body.

Check paresthesias:

Paresthesia describes a series of sensations, almost everywhere in the body. These include tingling, itching, tingling, electric type, totals burning, tingling, itching, numbness, partial (like the feeling), save through the fabric and a variety of neuropathic pain.

Most people have to be aware of paresthesia when the nerves in the case of its members taken wrong. The resulting numbness and tingling resolved shortly after the release of the nerve. However, a number of diseases of the peripheral nervous system and can cause chronic central paresthesia. These include diabetes, hypothyroidism, pernicious anemia, alcoholism, heavy metal poisoning, carpal tunnel syndrome, encephalitis, tumors, transverse myelitis, stroke, transient ischemic attack and multiple sclerosis.

Paresthesia is a very common symptom of MS occurring in 87% of people with MS at some point during their illness.

Could it be diabetes. You can see if you have a family.
